King Salman Park is one of Riyadh’s most ambitious urban developments—an iconic destination set to redefine the city’s green space. As part of this vision, the ceiling systems needed to combine aesthetic elegance with top-tier acoustic performance and flexibility in design.

The contractor was seeking more than just a ceiling system—they needed a partner who could help them rethink the standard approach. Mada stepped in with a bold alternative: a high-performance gypsum-based ceiling system that could deliver sound performance, match the project’s visual identity, and simplify installation.

The original design called for 70mm mineral wool panels with a T-Grid system.
But that wasn’t the right fit for the curvatures and architectural vision of the space.

The pain points were clear:

• • Complex Ceiling Geometry – The client wanted smooth curvatures, which are hard to achieve with traditional systems.
  • Acoustic Requirements – The system still had to meet the required NRC values.
  • Time Pressure – A fast-moving project with no time for trial and error.

Mada proposed a Rockfon Mono gypsum ceiling system—customized to meet both design and performance needs.

• The system was engineered to bend, maintaining structural integrity while achieving the desired curvatures.
• We incorporated Mono facing layers to meet the acoustic performance.
• We reviewed every plan and section drawing with the contractor to ensure precision.
• A full on-site mockup of a critical curved section was delivered—flawless and on time.
