Project Overview

Contractor: Hassan Allam
Consultant: Atkins

The Challenge

Façade elements installed at over 28 meters had to withstand wind pressure and harsh coastal conditions. The client’s preferred material was cement board, and Mada ProGuard was unfamiliar to them — they needed proof that installation, handling, and long-term value would match or beat the material they already trusted.

Our Solution

Mada delivered a fully engineered cladding system tailored for high-rise durability:

  • Conducted detailed structural analysis to validate ProGuard’s strength and reliability at 28+ meters
  • Shared certifications and compliance documents for fire, moisture, and safety performance
  • Provided side-by-side comparisons against cement board, showing ProGuard’s lighter weight, higher strength, and better lifecycle value
  • Delivered on-site technical support and installation guidance

The Outcome

The client moved from doubt to full adoption, having initially assumed cement board was the safer, better-known choice. Over 20,000 m² of Mada Metal Frame System, ProGuard Board, and finishing products have been supplied.

Why It Matters

For Hassan Allam and Atkins, switching to ProGuard meant a façade system backed by structural data proving it would hold up at height on an exposed Red Sea coastline — de-risking a late material change on a Ritz-Carlton-branded asset where long-term performance couldn’t be left to assumption.
