Case Study

KAIA Aircraft Parking Hangar — ProGuard External Partition

Jeddah, KSA

Project Overview

Contractor: ICAD & SAFC
Architect: AES

The Challenge

King Abdulaziz International Airport required façade systems able to withstand moisture, temperature swings, and prolonged site exposure across large wall areas. As a live international gateway, any façade performance issue down the line would carry outsized visibility and cost.

Our Solution

Mada specified its ProGuard system as a weather-resistant façade substrate:

  • Supplied Mada ProGuard Glass Mat Sheathing Board as a durable, weather-resistant substrate
  • Ensured dimensional stability across large, exposed wall areas
  • Coordinated seamlessly with structural framing and finishing trades

The Outcome

Execution progressed without delays, delivering reliable façades with long-term performance and integrity. Approximately 6,200 m² of external partition was supplied.

Why It Matters

For ICAD, SAFC, and AES, this meant a façade substrate the client could trust to hold up across large, exposed wall areas at a live international airport — removing a source of schedule and performance risk on a project where delays carry outsized cost.
