Case Study

Hilton Makkah Hotel — Partition & Ceiling Systems

Makkah, KSA

Project Overview

Client: MOBCO
Consultant: James Cubitt & Partners
Mada Team: Mohannad Akkad, Bassam Al Juhani, Mazen Hatoum

The Challenge

The original specification called for lightweight panels unfamiliar to the local market. The contractor needed a faster, proven system with strong local support, while the consultant and client had to be convinced it could meet Hilton’s stringent acoustic and fire safety standards.

Our Solution

Mada proposed a complete shift to drywall using Mada PLUS Partition and Ceiling Systems:

  • Presented a side-by-side comparison of Mada PLUS against lightweight panels, highlighting superior acoustic, fire, and installation performance
  • Ran on-site technical sessions with the contractor, consultant, and owner to walk through every detail
  • Demonstrated full compliance with Hilton brand standards, backed by technical documentation and life safety data

The Outcome

The consultant was initially cautious about changing systems this late in the program, but Mada’s data-backed clarity turned that risk into confidence. 20,000 m² have been supplied so far, with 130,000 m² in the pipeline.

Why It Matters

For MOBCO, the switch meant a partition and ceiling system already proven to Hilton’s global brand standard, installed by a team familiar with it — avoiding the delay and risk that typically comes with changing systems late in a hospitality build in one of the world’s most visited cities.
